Maidie Haywood

Mrs. Maidieline “Maidie” Yarboro Haywood age 90, formerly of Haywood Country Dr., Mt. Gilead, NC died Thursday, May 9 at Autumn Care of Biscoe. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, May 12, 2013 at Holly Mount Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Henry Jenkins and Rev. Matthew Baker. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Haywood was born May 28, 1922 in Montgomery County to David A. Yarboro, Jr. and Monnie Bell Jenkins Yarboro. She was a member of Holly Mount Baptist Church and a loving mother to her 4 children, David, Jerry, Peggy, and Monnie. She was preceded in death by her husband Clayton Coolidge Haywood. Mrs. Haywood is survived by sons; David Haywood of Alaska and Jerry Haywood of Candor, daughters; Peggy H. Maness of Mt. Gilead and Monnie H. Smith of Carolina Shores, NC, 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Troy and other times at the home on Haywood Country Dr. Mt. Gilead.
