Maggie Matney

Mrs. Maggie K. Matney, age 68, of High Point died Wednesday, January 8 at Hospice Home at High Point. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 11 at New Home Old Regular Baptist Church on Old Highway # 64, Lexington. Burial will follow in the Matney Family Cemetery in Denton. The family will see friends at the Church after 4:00 PM on Friday. Mrs. Matney was born February 13, 1945 to Isom Kennedy and Nancy Justice Kennedy. She had worked in the Hosiery Industry and was a member of New Home old Regular Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband Bobby Matney of the home; a son Edwin Matney and wife Lisa of Trinity; grandchild, Chase Alexander Matney; brothers Bradley Kennedy of Winston-Salem and Ray Kennedy of Panther, West Virginia; sister Gladys Peters of Tennessee. Briggs Funeral Home of Denton is in charge.
