Ms. Gracie Mae Jarman Stegall age 86, of Farmer Rd., Denton passed away Friday, May 29, 2015 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Wednesday at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Charlie Collins officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park in Lexington. Ms. Stegall was born April 23, 1929 in Scotland County to Joseph Thomas Jarman, Sr. and Ruth Ray Jarman. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church and was a Certified Nursing Assistant at Mountain Vista Health Park. Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Stegall on September 4, 2014. Surviving are son, Richard Stegall (Ginny) of Shallotte; daughter, Lucy Beam (Billy) of Denton; brothers, Kenneth Jarman of San Mateo, CA and Garrett Jarman of Lexington; sister, Isabell Cannon of Sanford, FL; grandchildren (5), Kim Beam Stover (Evan), Victoria Beam Cantrell (Matthew), Charlie Joseph Beam, Jodie, Kelly, and Ramona McKee; and 5 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3:00 to 4:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence on Farmer Rd., Denton.
