Mae J. Garner DENTON — Mae Jones Garner, 87, of Mountain Vista Health Park, formerly of Tysinger Road, died Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at Mountain Vista. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Briggs Funeral Home, Denton, with the Rev. John Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Memorial Gardens Cemetery. She was a native of Davidson County, the widow of Sidney Odell Garner and a retired employee of Thornton Knitting in Denton. Surviving are daughters, Judy Nance of Lexington, Candy Hobbs of Oak Island; sisters, Mozelle Bray of Florida, Eileen Hodges of Lexington; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. The family will be at the funeral home 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday.
