Mackie Ray Evans

Mackie Ray Evans, 70, of W. Salisbury St., Denton, died Friday, June 19, 2026 at his residence. Memorial Services will be held at a later date.

Born in Davidson County on February 17, 1956, he was the son of Buford and Vertie Reed Evans. Mackie had worked at Dimension Milling Lumber Company. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, James Evans, and several brothers and sisters. Mackie dearly loved his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Glover Evans of the home; 2 stepsons, Michael Wayne Glover of Denton and Roy Hulin of Thomasville; brother, Jeffrey Evans of Georgia; 2 sisters, Susie Ellis of Pittsboro and Joan Hartline of Denton; 2 grandchildren, Michael Isaiah Glover and Andrew Lee Glover.
