Candor-Mack Smith Mack Junior Smith, age 77,of Rabbit Creek Dr., Candor, died Thursday, December 25, 2008 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Funeral Service will be 2 PM Sunday, December 28 2008 at Big Oak Christian Church, with Rev. Peter Smith and Rev. Mike Holyfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. A native of Montgomery County, Mr. Smith was born October 26, 1931, the son of Arthur and Cora Glasgow Smith. He was a veteran of the US Army and a truck driver. He is survived by his wife, Ruth McDuffie Smith of the home; 2 Daughters, Deborah Smith Callicutt of Seagrove and Tammy Smith of Candor; 2 sons, Kenneth and Allen Smith, both of Candor; 2 sisters, Alice Bowman and Nancy Diggs, both of Candor; 2 brothers, Alvin and Bobby Smith, both of Candor; 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Saturday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home.
