Mabel Carter

Mabel Comer Carter, 77, of Eagle Branch Rd., Eagle Springs, died Saturday, May 09, 2009 at Autumn Care of Biscoe. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday at Big Oak Christian Church conducted by Rev. Robert Dennis and Rev. Jack Phillips. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Carter was born December 14, 1931 in Montgomery County to D.O. Comer and Ruth Davis Comer. She was a farmer along with her husband. Preceding her in death was her husband John W. Carter, Jr. on April 6, 2000. She is survived by; daughters; Linda Carter and Sarah Talbert both of Eagle Springs, Dianne Maness of Star, Dotti Gamblin of Salisbury, Rhonda Polston of Myrtle Beach, SC, sons; Buck Carter of Laurinburg and Billy Carter of Eagle Springs, sisters; Doris Lewis of Eagle Springs and Treva Purvis of Robbins, 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. The family will see friends on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home and other times at the residence on Eagle Branch Rd., Eagle Springs.
