Lucille Turner

Mrs. Lucille Harrison Turner age 83, of Handy Rd. Denton died Friday, May 2, 2014 at UNC Hospital. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, May 5, 2014 at Lineberry United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Kelly Creekmur. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Turner was born January 29, 1931 in Davidson County to Benjamin Harrison and Lena Loflin Harrison. She was a member of Lineberry United Methodist Church and had worked for Burlington Industries. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Zackies Turner. Survivors include, sons; James R. Turner and Douglas W. Turner both of Denton, sister; Myrtle Lee Pritchard of Asheboro, grandchildren; (4) Lavera E. Hassler (Michael), Rhonda Turner, Lisa Turner, and April Messimer (William), great grandchildren; (11) Drew Woodell, Megan Keeling, Kaitlyn Tedder, Nathaniel Jarrell, Keegan Smith, Haley Hassler, Christopher Messimer (Brittany), Christian Messimer, Kayla Sanders, Katie Messimer, and Javva Davis. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence on Handy Rd.
