Louise Click Rogers

Annie Louise Click Rogers, 98, passed into heaven on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Mountain Vista Health Park. Mrs. Rogers was born on July 9, 1928, in Woodleaf, NC the daughter of Orion Michael Click, Sr. and Pearl Crawford Click. She was a member of Woodleaf United Methodist Church from 1938-1975 and a member of Summerville Baptist Church from 1975 until her passing.

Louise graduated from Appalachian Teacher's College, now Appalachian State University, in 1948 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics and Science with a teaching certificate. She graduated from Ohio State University in 1951 with a Master of Science in Administrative Dietetics. She worked as an Assistant Dietician at Black Mountain Tuberculosis Sanatorium 1948-1949, as a Home Economics Teacher at Denton High School from 1957-1958, and as the office manager and bookkeeper at Rogers Radio and TV Service in Denton for 39 years. She served on the Davidson County Social Services Board and was a member of the Denton Chapter #216 Order of the Eastern Star where she served as Worthy Matron in 1987.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Early (J.E.) Rogers, Jr, her sisters, Hilda Click Yates Ours and Oma Lee Click Waters Eagle.

Louise is survived by sons, James Orion Rogers and wife, Valerie of Charlottesville, VA, Allen C. Rogers and wife, Ann, of Lawndale, NC, and Kenneth E. Rogers and wife, Vicky, of Denton; as well as her brother Orion Michael Click, Jr. and wife, Brenda, of Charlotte, NC. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at Summerville Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Frizzell and Rev. Flynn Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service at Summerville Baptist Church. At other times the family will be at the home of Kenneth and Vicky Rogers.
