Louise Hartley

Mrs. Louise Newsom Hartley, age 87 of Newsom Lane, Denton, NC died Sunday, April 16 at Mountain Vista Health Park. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 19 at Summerville Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Mike Motley. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Briggs Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence on Newsom Lane. Mrs. Hartley was born March 1, 1930 in Davidson County to Lonnie Newsom and Glay Owen Newsom. She was a member of Summerville Baptist Church and a retired Supervisor with Laguna Sports Wear She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Kail Hartley, a granddaughter Danielle Marie Yates, a brother Donald Newsom and sisters, Nellie Daniel, Dot Carrick, Essie Mae Parker and Josephine Woodle. She is survived by her husband Bryce Hartley; a daughter Gay Yates and husband Bill of Denton; a daughter-in-law Sandra Hartley of Salisbury; grandchildren Chrissy Morris and husband Eric, Dana Yates, Candace Yates, Hunter Yates Brandon Hartley and wife Sonni and 6 great grandchildren.
