Mary Louise Dennis Adams, 90, formerly of Garner Rd., Denton, NC passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022, at Mountain Vista Health Park.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM on Friday, Dec 23, at Fairview United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Amy Higgins and Rev. Doug Rowe. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mary was born May 15, 1932, in Guilford County to William Howard Dennis and Sara Elizabeth Major Dennis. She had worked in the hosiery industry retiring from Thornton Hosiery Mill. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, John Wayne Adams; grandson, Christopher Wayne Adams; brothers, Charles, and Thomas Dennis; siters, Shelby Pope and Nelda Page.

She is survived by sons, Gerald Wayne Adams, Eddie Carl Adams both of Denton, and Sammy Adams of Thomasville; brother, Richard Dennis of IN; sister-in-law, Peggy Buie of Denton; 3 grandchildren, Chad Adams, Sammie Holt, and Corey Wayne Adams; 4 great-grandchildren, Zach Dylan Holt, Cody Wayne Adams, Olivia Adams, Marley Rae Adams.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence on Garner Rd.
