Louie Shaw Hogan, 88, of Charles Mountain Road, died Monday, Oct. 30, 2006, at her home. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Gospel Church, where she was a charter member, with the Rev. Don Jarrell, the Rev. Melvin Morton and the Rev. Jack Luther officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She was a native of Randolph County, the widow of Val Hogan and a homemaker. Surviving are sons, Alvin Val Hogan Sr. and Herman Lee Hogan, both of Denton; brother, Vernon Shaw of Trinity; sisters, Irene Hooker of Asheboro, Tennie Cornelison, Elna Lee Morton and Betty Reeder, all of Denton; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. The family will be at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton, 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, other times at the home, 7263 Charles Mountain Road. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
