Louadgie McDonald Steele, 93, of NC HWY 73 East died Sunday, March 01, 2009 at Sandy Ridge Assisted Living in Candor. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday March 4, 2009 at Marcus United Methodist Church with Rev. Myron Dice, Rev. Barbara Dice and Rev. Don Burns officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Steele was born October 23, 1915 in Moore County to Donald Thomas McDonald and Alice Cadell McDonald. She was a homemaker and also a member of Marcus United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Nathaniel Steele on December 5, 2007 and also by a son Ralph Earl Steele. Survivors include, son; Thomas Nathaniel Steele and wife Wanda P. of Jackson Springs and daughter; Shirley Steele Craven and husband Farrell of Norman, sister; Pearl Lovelace of Reidsville, 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. . The family will see friends on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home and other times at the residence on NC HWY 73 East.
