Lou Ellen Hinson

Lou Ellen Hall Hinson, 82, of Samarcand Rd., Biscoe, died Monday, July 15, 2024 at Sandy Ridge Assisted Living in Candor.  Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Sardis United Methodist Church, with Rev. Glenn Hancock officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Born in Moore County on September 21, 1941, she was the daughter of Carson and Ina Lamonds Hall.  She was a member at Sardis, and had retired from Montgomery County Schools and Samarcand Manor Food Services.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Comer and a brother, Dolan Hall.

Mrs. Hinson is survived by her husband, Ernest Hinson of the home; 2 sons, Gentry F. Hinson (Carolyn Miller Hinson) of Biscoe and Edwin Hinson (Kathy Hinson) of Candor; daughter, Eva McNeill (Billy McNeill) of Monroe; brother, Keith Hall of Biscoe; 7 grandchildren, Livia Hinson, Will McNeill, Eli McNeill, Kelly Moran, Jenna Moran, Tabitha Bates, and Kelly Ritter; Great-grandchildren, Caleb Kennedy, Colby Bates, and Colton Bates.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM Wednesday, prior to the service at Sardis United Methodist Church.

Briggs-Candor Funeral Home is assisting the Hinson family with arrangements.
