Lottie Hamilton Gooch

Mrs. Lottie Ann Hamilton Gooch, age 81, of Denton died Thursday, January 1 at Randolph Hospital. Funeral service for Mrs. Gooch will be 3:00 pm Sunday, January 4 at Ophir United Methodist Church with Rev. Bill Knapp officiating. Burial will follow in the Denton Town Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Saturday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at her home on New Hope Road. Mrs. Gooch was born April 10, 1933 in Davidson County to Paul Daniel and Effie Garner Hamilton. She was a retired secretary with the Randolph County Tax Department. She was preceded in death by her husband Reginald Gooch who died January 8, 2012. She is survived by one son, Timothy Gooch and wife Becky of Denton, grandchildren, Jonathan Gooch of Greensboro, Grant Gooch and wife Sabrina of Troy and Kerri Gooch Blue and husband Adrian of Whispering Pines and five great-granchildren.
