Lori Watts

Mrs. Lori Deese Watts, age 63, of S. Main St. Ext., Denton, NC passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury.

Memorial Services will be private.

Mrs. Watts was born August 1, 1961in Wake County, NC to Melvin Deese and Mildred Dixon Deese.  Lori was a graduate of North West Cabarrus High School, received her certificate in Broadcasting in Charlotte and she was of the Baptist faith. She was the Catering Director at the Zoo and had worked at the Denton Library. Lori loved to cook, eat good food, read, garden and was always helping others.  She was loved and will be greatly missed by her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Deese and a brother-in-law, Johnny Laury.

Lori is survived by her husband, Ricky Watts; daughter, Rachel Marie Watts; son, John Alexander Williams; sisters, Melvia Dalton and husband Olin, Brenda Hartsell and husband Jack and Pamela Laury; sister-in-law, Connie Deese and numerous nieces & nephews.
