Lori Paulette Varner

Mrs. Lori Paulette Brown Varner, age 63, of Denton died Monday, February 17 at her home following declining health. Service for Mrs. Varner will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, February 19 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Vern Peterson officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:30 to 12:30 Wednesday, prior to the service, and at other times at the home. Mrs. Varner was born August 19, 1950 in Marion County, South Carolina to Paul and Ruth Altman Brown who preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Central Davidson High School. She had worked at Burlington Industries and later worked as a substitute teacher in the Denton area. She was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her husband, James R. Varner of the home, daughter, Kristy Varner of Wake Forest and brother, Doug Brown of Denton.
