Loretta Tucker Grubb

Loretta Tucker Grubb, 84, of Yates Rd. Denton passed away on Friday, August 28, 2020 at her residence.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 1 ^st at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Johnny Albertson officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.

Loretta was born March 15, 1936 in Randolph County to Andy Tucker and Bertha Presnell Tucker Workman.  She was a member of Grubb’s Grove Original Church of God and had been employed with Burlington Industries. In addition to her parents Loretta was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack M. Grubb, son, Alan Grubb, and brother, Elwood Tucker.

She is survived by daughters, Ava Barker and husband Chris, Gail Staley and husband Sidney; son, Gary Grubb; brothers, Arlie Workman, Jr. and Tony Workman all of Denton; sisters, Ruth Hogan of the New Hope Community, Linda Skeen of Asheboro; and Joyce Burchette of Denton; 3 grandchildren, Shane Grubb, Kyle Cook, and Melanie Staley; 4 great-grandchildren, Evan Hearn, Danica Grubb, Mason Grubb, and Sidney Staley.

Mrs. Grubb will lie in state at Briggs Funeral Home from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday.

The family will receive friends at the home of Ava Barker 222 Grubb Dr. Denton, NC 27239.
