Troy, NC-Lorenzo Ponce De Leon, Jr. Lorenzo Ponce De Leon, Jr., age 24 of Dairy Rd., Troy, died in Texas on Friday, October 5, 2007. A funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 13 at Our Lady Of The Americas Catholic Church in Candor, NC with The Rev. Father Ricardo Sanchez. Burial with full military rites will follow at the Mt. Zion AME Church in Mt. Gilead. A native of Brooklyn, NY, Mr. De Leon was born May 27, 1983. He was a specialist in the US Army. He is survived by his parents, Ezequiel and Sharon Perez of Troy; a daughter, Natalia Ponce De Leon of Wisconsin; 4 sisters, Ninoshka Perez of the home, Olivia Ponce De Leon, Elizabeth Gonzalez and Christina Gonzalez, all of New York; 2 brothers, Ezequiel Perez, Jr. and Izah Perez, both of the home. The family will see friends from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM on Saturday, October 13 at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home in Candor.
