Mrs. Lois Barringer Hilton, age 81, of Denton died Tuesday, Oct. 25 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington. A graveside service will be 2:00 pm Thursday, October 27 at Mountain View Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Claudie Harrison officiating. Mrs. Hilton was born May 25, 1930 in Davidson County to James Thomas and Mamie Glover Barringer. She was a homemaker and member of Central United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Eastern Star, a past member of the Civitan Club and had helped deliver Meals on Wheels. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Hilton on December 24, 1990 and two sons, Larry Robert Hilton and Michael Lynn Hilton. Mrs. Hilton is survived by one son, John Lance Hilton of Denton, one daughter, Carol Brown and husband Tony of High Point, one daughter-in-law Gayle Hilton of Denton, one sister, Lillian Gill of Winston-Salem, five grandchildren, Teresa Brown Holcomb and husband Brian, Tony Brown, Jr., Karma Hilton, Jason Hilton and Jonathan Hilton and three great grandchildren, Chase, Laikin and Christopher. Briggs Funeral Home in Denton is serving the Hilton family
