Lois Garner

Jessie Lois Hussey Garner, 77 of NC HWY 47 Denton died Tuesday Feb. 28, 2006 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Friday at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel conducted by the Rev. Charles Moses. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Garner was born Nov. 21, 1928 in Randolph Co. to Oscar Lloyd and Rose Redding Hussey. She worked as a nurse for over 50 years, retiring from the Griffis Clinic in Denton. She was of the Wesleyan Faith. Survivors include her husband Vestal C.G. Garner of the home, Daughters Vicki Tysinger and husband Roger of Denton, Ann Clark and husband Dwain of Asheboro. Step-Mother Gracie Hussey of Randleman, Brother Earl Hussey of South Mills, Sisters Ione Woodlief and Myra Shelton both of Winston Salem, 3 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 to 7:30PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton. Other times at the residence of Nancy Wood on North Main St., Denton.
