Linda Faye Gallimore Floyd, 69, of Floyd Rd., Lexington died Monday, March 08, 2010 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, March 11 at Faith Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Freddie Moretz. Interment will follow at Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Floyd was born October 28, 1940 in Davidson County to James Madison Gallimore and Virgia Daniel Gallimore. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and of the Faith Women’s Circle. She worked in Textiles and in later years she went to work for CVS Pharmacy. Mrs. Floyd was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry (Buddy) Floyd, and by a brother, Ray Gallimore. Survivors include, daughters; Sandra Gaye Floyd and partner Rita Sweda of Lehigh Acres, FL, and Ann Floyd Adams and husband Joey of Bedford, VA., brother, Roy Gallimore of Denton, grandchildren; Amber Carmona and husband Joseph, and Jerri Adams and friend Kenny Davis, great grandchildren; Patrick and Will Carmona, and Mason and Owen Adams, and by her beloved dog, Poochie and cat, Kiwi. The family will see friends Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence.
