Linda Brooks Davis

Linda Sue Brooks Davis, 78, of Cap Ingram Rd. Lexington, NC passed away on Monday, Sept. 6, 2021, at Hinkle Hospice House.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, Sept. 9, at Floyd Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Derald Smith officiating.

Mrs. Davis will lie in state from 2:00 to 5:00 PM on Wednesday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton. The family will not be present.

Linda was born February 16, 1943 in Davidson County to the late James Oliver Brooks and Molly Gregg Brooks. She was a homemaker and a member of Floyd Baptist Church where in earlier years she played on the softball team.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Davis of the home; son, Chris Davis and wife Pam of Lexington; daughter, Lisa Strickland and husband Eddie of Denton; brother, Pete Brooks of Lexington; and 2 grandchildren, Madison and Cameron Strickland.

In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to Floyd Baptist Church or to Hospice of Davidson County 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292
