Mr. Lester Buret Hedrick, Sr., age 74, of Denton died Sunday, November 23 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem. Funeral service for Mr. Hedrick will be 6:00 pm Tuesday, November 25 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Johnny Daniels officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, prior to the service, at the funeral home. Mr. Hedrick was born June 18, 1940 in Rowan County to Charlie Buret and Annie Shinn Hedrick. He had worked for Johnny Daniels Logging and retired from Gobble Callahan in Lexington. He was an avid hunter and fishermen and loved hanging out at the lake. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kimberly. Mr. Hedrick is survived by his wife, Rita Ann Hughes Hedrick of the home, one son, Lester Buret Hedrick, Jr. and wife Bessie of Denton, three daughters, Lynn Hedrick Doby of Virginia, Stacie Hedrick of Lexington and Tracie Hedrick Sheffield of Thomasville. He is also survived by brothers, Charlie Jerry Hedrick and Tommy Hedrick, both of Salisbury, Odell Hedrick of Lexington, grandchildren, Emily, Taylor, Ashley, Cheyenne, Amanda and Bailey and great-grandchildren, Sinaca, Jaylin, Chippy and Adelynn.
