Lester Matthew Burris

Lester M. Burris, 57, of Speer Lane, Troy, died Thursday, January 25, 2018 at FirstHealth Hospice and Palliative Care in Pinehurst.  A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.   Born in Montgomery County on March 21, 1960, he was the son of William Burris Sr., and Ola Parson Burris.  He had worked at Hometown BBQ in Troy.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Burris and a sister, Brenda Burris Johnson.   He is survived by a step-daughter, Renee Berry of Troy; brother, William Burris Jr. of Troy; half-brother, Clayton Parson of Las Vegas NV; stepgrandchild, Xavier Berry.   In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to FirstHealth Hospice Foundation, 150 Applecross Rd., Pinehurst NC  28374.   Briggs Funeral Home of Troy is in charge of arrangements.
