Leslie "Puppy" Russell

Mr. Leslie James “Puppy” Russell, 60, of Johnson Farm Rd, Denton passed away on June 1, 2018 at his residence. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Thursday, June 7 at Gravel Hill Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Gerald Ward. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Russell was born June 6, 1957 in Davidson County to James Russell and Mary Linzey McDowell Russell. He was a member of Gravel Hill Baptist Church. Leslie had worked as a landscaper and later retiring from Asheboro City Maintenance Department. Leslie enjoyed traveling, camping, hunting and bee keeping. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Linzey Russell. He is survived by father, James Russell of the home; brother, Ralph Russell and wife Barbara of Asheboro.
