Leslie Gallimore

Mr. Leslie C. “Punkin” Gallimore, age 52 of Brown St, Denton, NC died Thursday, March 18 at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 21 at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Chris Smith. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Mr. Gallimore was born July 30, 1956 in Davidson County to Carlton L. Gallimore and Yvonne Burleson Gallimore. He worked as truck driver before becoming disabled. He was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, Denton Fire Department, and had volunteered working the lines and coaching with the Denton High School Football Program. Mr. Gallimore is survived by his wife, Ruth Coppley Gallimore of the home, sons, Chad C. Gallimore and Gary L. Gallimore both of Denton, a sister Gay Markham of Asheboro and a brother Dennis Gallimore of Denton and 2 grandchildren. The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence.
