Leona Snider

Ms. Leona Sexton Snider age 88, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Mountain Vista Health Park. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday May 31 at Bethel Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Gerald Ward. Interment will follow at Gravel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Ms. Snider was born April 18, 1927 in Davidson County to Dexter Sexton and Mary Dunning Sexton. Leona was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents Leona was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Snider and by her son, Bobby Snider; brothers, Hansel Sexton, Robert Sexton, and Lloyd Sexton; and sister, Laverana Gobble. Surviving are daughter, Loretta S. Ferrell and husband Calvin of Denton; 6 grandchildren, Brent Ferrell (Kathi), Darrell Ferrell, Diana Flynt (Robbie), Chad Snider (Wendy), Bobby Snider, Jr. (Stephanie), and Heather Snider; 8 great-grandchildren, Libby, Maria, and Brenna Ferrell, Emily Flynt, Jazmine and Marissa Snider, Landon McGehee, and Jackson Snider. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the home of Loretta Ferrell on Gallimore Rd.
