Leona Blake Page, 99, formerly of Albemarle Rd., Troy, died Saturday, Jan.8, 2011 at Autumn Care of Biscoe. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 13, in the Chapel of First Baptist Church in Troy. Burial will follow at Southside Cemetery Mrs. Page was born in Montgomery County on Nov. 13, 1911, the daughter of Clovis R. and May Allen Blake. She was a member of Troy First Baptist Church, the VFW Auxiliary and an avid bridge player, being a member in 2 bridge clubs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Page, Sr. and her son, Robert H. Page, Jr. She is survived by 2 sisters, Myrtle B. Carbone and Georgia B. Pridgen, both of Troy and 2 grandchildren, Sylvia Ann Engle of Bismark, Arkansas and Robert H. Page III of Plano, Texas and 2 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Renovation Fund at First Baptist Church, Troy, PO Box 442, Troy NC 27371. Briggs Funeral Home of Troy is in charge of arrangements.
