Leon E Snider

Mr. Leon Earl Snider, age 78 of West Salisbury Street, Denton, NC died Thursday, November 22 at Lexington Health Care.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, November 25 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel conducted by Rev. Dennis Sheppard. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.

The family will see friends from 1:00 until 2:30 PM Sunday at Briggs Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of Ronnie Covington on Farmbrook Drive, Denton.

Mr. Snider was born April 9, 1940 in Davidson County to Solomon Earl Snider and Lillian Shutt Snider. He was a retired self-employed truck driver and a member of First United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and by sisters, Zenda Hedrick, Alreta Hulin and Vernelle Greene and a brother Thurman Snider.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Cody Snider of the home; son Tracy Snider and wife Michell of Statesville; step-sons, Ronnie Covington and wife Belinda, Craig Covington and wife Molly all of Denton; daughters, Michelle Snider-Smith of China Grove, Leigh Ann Lowe of Oakboro; 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 5 step grandchildren.
