Leo Franks

Mr. Leo Watson Franks, age 82 of Johnson Road, Denton, NC died Monday, July 1 at Thomasville Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 4 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel conducted by Rev. Gene Little and Rev. James Draughn. Burial will follow with Military Honors at Tom’s Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, July 3 at Briggs Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence on Johnson Road. Mr. Franks was born December 2, 1930 in Hardin County, Tennessee to Lawrence Franks and Sudie Bain Franks.He was an Army Veteran and a retired employee of Thomasville Furniture Industries where he was employed for 37 years. He enjoyed the outdoors and gardening. He was preceded in death by parents and by brothers, George Franks and Edward Franks. He is survived by his wife, Jeweldean Gallimore Franks of the home; a son, Terry Franks of Denton; a daughter Judy Draughn and husband Jamie of Denton; grandchildren Cassie Draughn and Chad Draughn and great grandchildren, Alison Draughn and Isabelle Simmons
