Lena "Tot" Sanders

Lena Campbell “Tot” Sanders, 92, of McCallum Rd., Candor, died Thursday, January 4, 2024 at her residence.  Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Parsons Grove Church, with Rev. William Saunders officiating.  Burial will follow in the McCallum Family Cemetery.

Born in Richmond County on February 9, 1931, she was the daughter of Alexander and Pearlie Mae Currie Campbell.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Hiram Kelly Sanders and a son, Ronald Sanders.  She was a retired seamstress.

Lena is survived, by 2 daughters, Gloria Sanders Beech of Biscoe and Bonnie E. Sanders of the home; son, Phillip Saunders of King; grandchildren, Kelly Lynn Sanders (Kevin Key) of New London, Amber Lynette Sanders (John Primm) of Seagrove, William Cody Sanders of the home, Phil Saunders (Stephanie) of King NC, Holly Sanders, Tony Dunlap of Robbins, Dwight Kelly Dunlap (Tammy) of Greensboro, and Frankie Ray Dunlap (Sherrie) of Troy; Great-grandchildren, Kelly Daniel Dunlap, Johnathan Primm, Dallas Primm, Skylar Primm, Jordan Key, Hunter Key, Kaden Sanders, Wesley Sanders, Elijah Sanders, and Audrey Sanders; Great-great-grandchild, Lakelyn Dunlap.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home.
