Mr. Lee Roy Gallimore, Sr., age 87 of Gallimore Road, Denton, NC died Thursday, February 16 at Thomasville Medical Center. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 19 at Tom’s Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Claudie Harrison. The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday at Briggs Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence on Gallimore Road. Mr. Gallimore was born March 30, 1924 in Davidson County to Ernest Lowe Gallimore and Effie Turner Gallimore. He was a retired truck driver with Cannon Mills and owned and operated Gallimore Mobile Home Park. He was a WWII veteran of the U S Army. He is survived by his wife, Janie Ellis Gallimore of the home; sons, Lee Roy Gallimore, Jr. and wife Sandy of Lindhurst, Va., Steve Gallimore and wife Shelia and Eddie Gallimore and wife JoAnn all of Denton; a daughter DeaAnn Badgett and husband Jason of Pilot Mountain; step-daughters Jackie Seamon, Debbie Hillyard and husband John all of Denton, Jeannie Morlock and husband Fred of Raleigh, grandchildren, Dillon Badgett, Damon Badgett, Nicole Hickey and husband Chris and Brian Gallimore and wife Ellen, great grandchildren, Jackson, Lillian and Leigha and 5 step grandchildren.
