Lee "C. L. " Buie, Jr.

Mr. Cearn Lee “C. L.” Buie, Jr., age 74, a resident of Sexton Rd., Denton passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Randolph Hospital. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, April 13 at Denton Wesleyan Church conducted by Rev. Charlie Collins. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. Mr. Buie was born November 3, 1942 in Stanly County to Cearn Lee Buie, Sr. and Pauline Earnhardt Buie Loflin. C. L. was a graduate of Denton High School class of 1961, and a member of the Woodmen of the World, and Denton Wesleyan Church. He worked in car sales for many years and later as Owner/Peddler of L&N Furniture. In addition to his parents, C. L. was preceded in death by brothers, Donnie and Edward “Bud” Buie; sisters, Bonnie and Mary Evelyn Buie and Joyce Weaver. Surviving are daughters, Nan Maddox of Fort Walton Beach, FL and Leigh Buie of Greensboro; brother, Johnny Loflin of New York; sisters, Doris Trogdon of Asheboro, Brenda Lomax of Denton; 3 grandchildren, Krystal, Shawn, and Dax; 2 great-grandchildren, Brady “Buckaroo” and Camille. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence on Sexton Rd.
