LaRuth Beane Campbell, 90, of Candor, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Born in Montgomery County on October 1, 1930, she was the daughter of Charles W. and Delphina Klass Beane. Her father was a carpenter, builder of churches and bridges in NC and Virginia. A Baptist preacher, her father was involved in Walter’s Grove, Thomasville where they spent a good part of her early life. Mrs. Campbell was a devout Christian and known best for her dedication to the Church of God of Prophecy. She was involved in fund raisers, Sunday School teacher, singer and enjoyed playing gospel music later in her life on the piano, guitar and dulcimer. She is survived by her children, Janelle Carmichael (Larry) of Sparta, Cheryl Gable (Tim) of West End, and Barry Von Campbell (Eve) of Morganton; 7 grandchildren, Tanya, Mary, Richard, Rachelle, Candice, Lyn, and Barry Von, Jr.; 10 great-grandchildren, Bethany, Lucas, Madison, Everett, Audrey, Danika, Englani, Rumania, Serenity, and Barry Von III; 1 great-great-grandchild, Emaya.
