Larry Surratt

Mr. Larry Michael Surratt, 73, of Loflin Hill Rd., Trinity, NC passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at his residence.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM on Monday, Jan. 31 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel conducted by Rev. Claudie Harrison. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the service at Briggs Funeral Home.

Larry was born in Davidson County on February 22, 1948 to Herman W. Surratt and Martha Pauline Cranford Surratt. He was of the Baptist faith. Larry had worked for Terrell Brothers MFG. and retired from Hughes Furniture Industries/ Motion-Eaze Recliners.

In addition to his parents Larry was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Gene Surratt; brother, Douglas “Doug” Surratt; and a sister, Martha Gail Surratt.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Creed Surratt of the home; son, David Surratt of the home; daughter, Alicia Luck (Johnny) of Asheboro; step-daughters, Wanda Smith of Mt. Pleasant and Melissa Jenkins of Norwood; Daughter-in-law, Kelly Surratt of Denton; sister, Bonnie Fritz of Lexington; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
