Larry Royal

Mr. Larry Dale Royal age 68, of Anderson St. Denton passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 17 at Denton Wesleyan Church conducted by Rev. Charles Moses and Rev. Marvin Tate, Jr. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Royal was born May 6, 1949 in Randolph County to Benny Royal and Louise Hughes Smith. He was an Electrician and a member of Denton Wesleyan Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Benny Royal and by his brother, Tommy Snider. Surviving are son, Scott Royal of Winston-Salem; daughters, Brenda Yurcina and husband Russell Sr. of Soldotna, Ak, Amber Royal and fiancé Jacob May of Lexington, Laurie Royal Hunt and husband Jeremy of Lexington; mother, Louise Smith; sisters, Connie Graham, Vickie Garren, Linda Snider, Shirley Williams, Donna Horn, and Jo Ann Lambert; 11 grandchildren, Marvin Tate, Jr., Cody Tate, Russell Yurcina, Baylie Allen, Skylar Cantrell, Kenan Sigmon, Sage Leonard, Salem Leonard, Staley Leonard, Zoe Hunt, and Zylie Hunt; 5 great-grandchildren, Isabella Garres, Dailehn Garres, Korah Tate, Kynsley Tate, and Isabelle Lunn. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and others times at the home of Laurie Hunt on Joan Dr., Lexington.
