Larry Wallace Fee, Sr., 76 of Tuckertown Road, New London, made his journey to his heavenly home on Friday, January 15, 2016 surrounded by family and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 23,2016 at Chandler's Grover United Methodist Church, with Pastor Steve Phillipi and Pastor Derald Smith officiating. Born on March 31, 1939 in Rose Hill, Virginia, he was the son of Loran and Mary Petty Fee. He was president of QRT, Incorporated from 1980 until current. He owned/operated Tuckertown Gulf at Badin Lake from 1971 until 1980. Prior to that he worked for Blue Bell Manufacturing.He attended Chandler's Grove United Methodist Church. Larry was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Next to his wife, his dogs were the love of his life.He was a wonderful father who was always there for his children offering guidance, support, and words of wisdom. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed teaching them how to hunt, skip rocks across the pond, and to appreciate the beauty of nature. He enjoyed debating everyday issues with his longtime friend, Jerry Pegg. He was always primed for a "spirited debate" with anyone within earshot. Larry was a very loving and compassionate man. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, tractor, or provide rocks for landscaping projects. Anything that was needed by family, friends, or strangers, you could count on Larry. Mr. Fee is survived by his wife, Nadine Higgins Fee of the home; son, Larry (Qurt) Fee, Jr. and wife Katrina of Badin Lake; daughter, Debbi Fee Yarbrough and husband Victor of Badin Lake; sister, Bobbie Frazier of Oak Island; and six grandchildren: Zackery Yarbrough, Logan Yarbrough, Cody Fee, Danielle Fee, Neal Batten, and Joshua Calloway. In lieu of flowers, memoriams may be donated to the Chandler's Grove Educational Scholarship Fund, 618 Badin Lake Road, New London, NC 28127. Briggs Funeral Home of Denton is assisting with the arrangements.
