Larry William Dennis

Larry William Dennis, 68, of Charlotte Circle, Troy, died Sunday, January 31, 2021 as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident. Graveside Service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Southside Cemetery in Troy, with Pastor Chris Mabe officiating. Masks are required and social distancing should be observed. Mr. Dennis was born June 18, 1952, the son of Billy Lockie and Polly Ruth Parker Dennis. He was a delivery driver for the Charlotte Observer. He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Dennis, his wife, Deborah Biggers Dennis and a granddaughter, Sabrina F. Brown. He is survived by a son, Larry Wayne Dennis of Star; 3 daughters, Renee Dennis Davenport (Michael) of Troy, Melissa Rodriguez of Star, and Sherry Dennis of Troy; his mother, Polly Ruth Dennis of Troy; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren. Mr. Dennis will lie in state for the public on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home, from 11 AM to 1 PM. Masks are required and the number in attendance will be monitored. Please observe Social Distancing recommendations. The family will be at the home of Melissa Rodriguez, 943 South Main St., Star. Briggs-Candor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
