Krassa Hristova

Mrs. Krassa Bahneva Hristova Ratchev, age 64, of Farmer Road, Denton, NC passed away at her residence on Sunday, July 5, 2026.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Briggs Funeral Home.

Krassa was born on July 15, 1961 in Senovo, Bulgaria to Bahni Hristov and Dotsa B. Hristova. She married Luben Ratchev on September 11, 1995 in Kazanlak, Bulgaria and traveled with him to America, where she obtained citizenship, settled in Phoenix, Arizona and raised her son, Lubomir Luben Ratchev. Krassa was a dedicated mother, which is what ultimately led her to move from Phoenix to Denton so that she could live closer to her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family and the simple pleasures in life, whether that be attending the local restaurants, perusing the shops or simply watching a few old Western movies or comedies.

Krassa is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, Hristo Bahnev.

Krassa is survived by her son, Lubomir Ratchev and her step-son, Dimitar Vachev.
