Mr. Kevin Scott Walker, 55, of Rancher Drive, Thomasville, NC passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024, at his residence.

A funeral service will be held at Unity Wesleyan Church, Trinity on Wednesday, October 16, at 1:00 PM with Rev. Brad Pharr and Rev. Johnny Scarborough officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Thomasville.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:00 until 1:00 PM at Unity Wesleyan Church prior to the service and other times at the home on Rancher Dr.

Kevin was born in Davidson County on September 3, 1969, the son of Bobby Dan Walker and Connie Buie Walker. He was a member of Unity Wesleyan Church in Trinity and had worked as a truck driver and crane operator, a job that he really had a passion for. As an avid outdoorsman Kevin loved to hunt and fish, and he had a love for animals. Kevin enjoyed eating, especially a bowl of ice cream but what he really enjoyed was spending time with his grandkids and taking them for rides on the gator.

In addition to his parents Kevin was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Isaac Daniel Walker and Alice Garner Walker; maternal grandparents, Pete Buie and Ruth Lambeth Buie; uncles, Larry Walker, Kenneth Walker, Clarence Buie, Gerald Steed and David Walker; aunts, Linda Coble, Pauline Coltrane, Kathleen Garner, and Joann Bean and a grandson, Kohen, Hodges.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Crystal Ann Walker of the home; step-daughters, Haleigh Hodges and her husband Tyler and Amanda Atkins; step-son, Josh Register; step-grandchildren, Grayson Hodges, Ava Hodges, Nova Atkins, and Chance Hoover; uncle, Bobby Buie; aunts, Vonnie Steed, Saundra Buie, Cherry Surratt and her husband Rick, Gail Walker, Imogene Morris, and Hazel Garner and by numerous cousins.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Saving Grace, a organization assisting with animal rescue from the devastation in western North Carolina at PO Box 1674 Wake Forest, NC 27588.
