Roy Kenneth Hill, age75 of Hill Road, Lexington, NC died Saturday, July 15 at Hinkle Hospice House after a long battle with brain cancer. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM Tuesday, July 18 at Community Baptist Church conducted by Pastor Rev. Brian Workman. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery The family will see friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times will be at the residence on Hill Road. Mr. Hill was born October 7, 1941 in Davidson County to Roy Oscar Hill and Helen Lucille Barringer Hill. He was a member of Community Baptist Church and was a retired mechanic with the City of Thomasville. He attended Central Davidson High School. He had coached little league baseball and football. He loved Racing, Fishing and working on cars. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Drew Hill.. He is survived by his wife, Martha Gallimore Hill of the home; sons, David Hill and wife Pat and Tim Hill and wife Toni all of Lexington; daughters Donna Buie and husband Shawn of Thomasville and Jeanette Elliott and husband Tracy of Marion; sister Rachel Hill Johnson and husband Donald of Trinity; half sister Velva Garrett Sechrist of Thomasville;grandchildren, Dane, Drake and Damon Hill, Brantley and Jason Wray, Bailey and Tyler Elliott; step-grandchildren, Michael, Aleah, Layton, Rylan, Grayce, Ross Kate and Logan;. great grandchild Daylin Hill.
