Kay Shaw

Mrs. Paula “Kay” Voss Shaw. Age 83 of NC Hwy # 49 S., Denton, NC died Friday, September 24 at Randolph Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12:00 PM Monday, September 27, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Asheboro with Father Christopher Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens in Denton. Mrs. Shaw was born April 29, 1927 in Betzdorf, Germany to Josef Voss and Maria Neuser Voss. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and a homemaker. Her husband, Kenneth Shaw, preceded her in death on October 12, 2009. Mrs. Shaw is survived by her daughter; Maria R. Shaw and Fiancée Eddie Dombrowski of Farmer, granddaughter, Cristen Payne and boyfriend Jesse Martin of Farmer, Three great grandchildren, Kelsie, Makenzie, and Jesse, Jr. The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence on NC HWY 49 South. In lieu of flowers the family ask memorials be sent to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Building Fund 512 W. Wainman Ave., Asheboro, NC 27203. The family wishes to extend a very heartfelt thank you to Dr. Kirsten Cox and to Hospice of Randolph County for the wonderful care that was given to Mrs. Shaw.
