Kay Martin Latham

  Mrs. Kay Martin Latham, age 83 of Farmer Road, Denton, NC died Friday, March 9 at her residence.   A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 13 at Denton Town Cemetery conducted by Rev. Neal Latham.   The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at Briggs Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence on Farmer Road.   Mrs. Latham was born October 13, 1934 in Davidson County to Paul H Martin and Pauline Gallimore Martin. She had last worked at Councill Craftsmen Furniture Company and was a homemaker. She was a member of Gravel Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and by brothers, Richard Martin and Brack Martin and by a sister Dorothy Allred.   She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Earl Latham of the home; sons, Neal Latham and wife Dianne of Denton, and Steve Latham and wife Gaye of Lexington; sister Ann Dawson and husband Bill of Landis; grandchildren Amy Thompson, Adam Latham, and Amanda Whitaker; step-grandchildren, Michelle Gammons, Brad Hamilton and Jeremy Hamilton; 10 great grandchildren.   Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County,, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292 or to the charity of the Donor’s Choice.   The family would like to thank volunteer Gladys Decker for her special visits to Kay.   Briggs Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.   Online condolences may be made at www.briggsfuneralhome.com
