Katy C Palmer

          Mrs. Katy Carrick Palmer age 84 of Holloways Church Road, Lexington died Monday, November 26 at Wake Forest Baptist Health Lexington Medical Center   A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, December 1 at Mountain View Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Tim Miller. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.   The family will see friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM Saturday at Mountain View Baptist Church and other times will be at the residence on Holloways Church Road..   Mrs. Palmer was born September 30, 1934 in Davidson County to Clay Carrick and Lena Tysinger Carrick. She was a graduate of Southmont High School and attended Business School. She worked for many years as a shipping clerk at Young-Hinkle Furniture Company.   She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church where she had served as Pianist and Organist since she was a teenager. She was married to Don F Palmer who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother Howard Carrick.   She is Survived by sons, Charles (Chuck) Palmer of Titusville, Florida and David Palmer of Lexington; Sister, Ann C Surratt of Wilmington; brothers, Mallory Carrick and wife Ruby and Max Carrick and wife Libby all of Lexington; sister-in-law, Connie Carrick of Denton.   Online condolences may be made at www.briggsfuneralhome.com
