Mrs. Kathleen Grubb Klass Gallimore, of N.C. 109, Denton, died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2006, at her home. Funeral service will be Sunday, Sept. 24, at 4 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Benny Clodfelter and the Rev. Terri Cook officiating. Interment will be in Tom’s Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Gallimore was born in Davidson County, the daughter of James Bud and Grace Varner Grubb. She had worked at Kaby Hosiery Mill in Asheboro, Thomasville Forest Products and Skeen Eggs. She attended Central United Methodist Church for 28 years. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Mrs. Gallimore was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold H. Gallimore, on May 3, 2005; a grandson, Reggie Miller; a granddaughter, Brandy Luck; and two brothers, Raymond Grubb and Lee Roy Grubb. Survivors are sons, Larry Klass and wife, Dolly, of Thomasville, Jerry Klass of High Point and Terry Klass of Denton; daughters, Janice Ligon and husband, Carlie, of Lexington, Joyce McDowell and husband, Robert, of Denton, Lillian “Kathy” Miller of Virginia Beach, Linda Marshall and husband, Gratis, of Thomasville, and Susan Thompson of Lexington; stepson, Lin Gallimore of Denton; stepdaughter, Denise Lanier and husband, Jay, of Denton; brothers, Carlie Grubb of Asheville and Bobby Grubb of Trinity; sisters, Mae Griffin and Shirley Ann Alcon of Lexington; grandchildren, Dion Sentell, Cindy Tysinger, Candi Dorsett, Gary McDowell, Carla Ligon-Miller, Tiffany Ligon, Travis Ligon, Wesley Miller, Daniel Thompson, Kim Klass, Tina Swanie and Scott Klass; stepgrandchildren, Lauren Swain, David Lanier and Ginger Lanier; seven great-grandchildren; good friends, Phyllais, Vickie, Pam and Greta. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence on N.C. 109.
