June Everhart

June Lee Everhart, age 85 of Uwharrie Parkway, New London died Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at Stanly Regional Hospital. Funeral service will be held Thursday, Aug. 25 12:00 pm noon at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel conducted by Chaplain Wanda Weidman. Interment will follow in Chandlers Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will see friends from 11:00am to 12:00 pm prior to the service at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence of her son Fred. Mrs. Everhart was born October 25, 1925 in Stanly County to William Jasper Lee and Murl Arehardt Lee. She was a homemaker and attended Chandlers Grove United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband; Richard Lee Everhart, Sr. who died on October 19, 1992. Survivors include sons; Richard Everhart, Jr. and wife Wanda of Red Lion, Penn., and Fred Everhart and wife Jo Ann of New London, daughters; Peggy Medlin of Norwood and Betty Crisco and husband Max of Richfield, sister; Lorraine Myers of Salisbury, 9 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
