Julie Kellis Legar

November 10, 1966 — September 7, 2021

Julie Deanna Kellis LeGar, 54, of Oxford GA, died Tuesday, September 7, at her residence. Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home, officiated by her brother, Wayne Kellis. Burial will follow in the Kellis Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 - 11 AM prior to the service on Wednesday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home. Julie was born in Montgomery County on November 10, 1966, the daughter of the late EC “Cam” and Janie Sanders Kellis. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, William LeGar in 2007. Julie had worked different jobs in her life, one in particular was at Olive Garden, where she once picked up an extra shift in order to buy more formula for her daughter. She was a homemaker and an afghan blanket maker, making many for wedding gifts, and baby showers. She will be remembered as a good friend, a great mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren, who she loved to go and visit. She was an avid telephone caller, loved to talk on the phone for hours, and when she called her long distance family, she loved to just “listen” to them as if she were there with them. She loved people, loved God, and loved her kids and grandkids. Julie is survived by her daughter, Amy Guizar and husband Josh of Colorado; son, Cameron Fitch and wife Chelsea of Georgia; sister, Terry Kirby; brothers, Rom Kellis, David Kellis and Wayne Kellis; Grandchildren, Janie, Elaine and Olivia Fitch, and Nathan and Abraham Guizar. Briggs-Candor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
