Mrs. Judith Lea (Judy) Carroll Loflin age 89 of Joe Loflin Trail, Denton died Friday, November 12 at her residence. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 PM Monday, November 15 at Mountain View Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Scott Davis and Rev. Sandy Young. Mrs. Loflin will lie in state from 10:00 AM until Noon Monday at Briggs Funeral Home. The family will be at the residence on Joe Loflin Trail. Mrs. Loflin was born January 17, 1932 in Davidson County to John Brice Carroll and Vera Lanier Carroll. She was a retired employee of First National Bank in Asheboro. Mrs. Loflin was a member of Siloam United Methodist Church. She had been a member of the Denton Ladies Civitan Club and a volunteer with the South Davidson Resource Center and the American Red Cross Blood Drives. She was married to Joe L. Loflin who died August 5, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a sister Elsie C Frank and a brother Bill Carroll. She is survived by a daughter, Glenda L. Gallimore and husband Clifford of Denton, a grandson, David Gallimore and wife Amy of Denton and a great grandson, Matthew Gallimore; a brother J. Joe Carrroll and wife Hazel of Pleasant Garden.
