Juanita Weaver

June 28, 1927 — August 22, 2014

Ms. Juanita Daniel Weaver age 87, of Farmbrook Dr., Denton died Friday, August 22, 2014 at Mountain Vista Health Park. A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Monday, August 25 at Summerville Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Flynn Richardson, Rev. Jonathan Barbee, and Rev. Johnny Daniel. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Ms. Weaver was born June 28, 1927 in Davidson County to Travis Hurley Daniel, Sr. and Sallie Gallimore Daniel. She was a member of Summerville Baptist Church and worked for many years as a looper in the hosiery industry. Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Arvel Columbus Weaver and by 4 brothers and 1 sister. Juanita was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Her favorite saying was “It didn’t cost anything to be kind to people”. She was such a positive influence in the lives of so many. Surviving are, daughter, Lynn Garner and husband Zane of Denton; granddaughters, Hannah G. Cantu and husband David and Haley Garner all of Denton; sister, Magilene Lanier of Locust. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence on Farmbrook Dr. Memorials can be made to The Baptist Children’s Home PO Box 338 Thomasville, NC 27360.
